A brief history......

It all started in 1996 when Main Street Records produced the recording "Dirty Town" MSR13001 by Cincinnati, Ohio Americana artist GROWN MEN. The CD features original material and smartly chosen covers recorded in their own unique style.

Main Street Records business model has been to find original artists and help them get their start in the recording industry.

Main Street Records provides local, national and international distribution for its artists.

In 1999, Main Street Records released its second CD Sean Carney & the Nite Owlz "Provisions" MSR13002. Sean is a Columbus, Ohio based blues guitarist who has gone on to become an internationally known and respected guitarist and blues historian. Provisions quickly sold out and the original release of this CD is quite rare.

In 2007, Sean won the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. as well as the Albert King Award for Best Guitarist.

With these awards and a European tour ahead it was decided to re-release "Provisions". Provisions: A Second Helping" was released in early 2008 on Nite Owlz Records/Main Street Records with three previously unreleased bonus tracks from the original sessions.

In 2011, the decision was made to expand the focus of the business and Main Street Music was born.

Main Street Music began selling the Janglebox line of Compressor/sustainer effect pedals. Endorsed by Roger McGuinn (Byrds) and Mike Campbell ( Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers).

Guitars, basses and related musical equipment were added to the products offered and

additional products will selectively added.

Main Street Music is also involved in the
management and booking of local artists.

Developing artists and recording original music still remains a focus of Main Street Music.
